Managing Committee

The management of the Association shall be vested in a Committee of Management which shall have full power to act in the name of the Association.

The Committee shall consist of a President, First, Second and Third Vice Presidents, a Treasurer (hereinafter referred to as “Officers”) the immediate Past President and five ordinary members who shall continue to act until their successors are appointed. Retiring members of the Committee shall be eligible for re-election.

PROVIDED HOWEVER that no member shall be eligible for election to the office of President for more than two consecutive terms.

The President and in his absence, can appoint any of the three Vice Presidents, in descending order of rank and in their absence some other member chosen by the meeting shall act as Chairman of every general meeting and every Committee meeting.

The retiring President shall be regarded as the Immediate Past President and shall serve as a member of the Committee and shall be regarded as such for the duration of his successor’s term in office with full voting rights.

The Committee may full any casual vacancy among its members occurring during the course of the year and any member so appointed shall hold office for the unexpired period of his predecessor’s term of office PROVIDING ALWAYS that vacancies left by officers must first be filled by members of the Committee elected at the annual general meeting.

There shall be three Trustees of the Association.
